Tropical Spa

Bringing tropical vibes to a clients private spa.

Brief - To create a Tropical Oasis within a large private Spa.

Creative Director Andrea had for three years installed large seasonal decorations for a significant private property in Cheshire, alongside creating huge schemes for two of their central Manchester offices. The Client had built an impressive spa facility complete with swimming pool with high shelf area and separate gym. The question was could this be further enhanced with a plethora of Tropical plants to create a tropical oasis?

Lighting is always the first consideration, and as there was only medium natural levels of natural light due to the spa design, extra artificial lighting was required and installed. This was vital particularly over the winter months if the planting scheme was to thrive. In this particular scheme from September to March the artificial lighting is required twelve hours a day to mimic the long daylight of the plants native sub tropical habitat.

The client desired some extra large planters in multi media from Italian made terracotta to patinated and vintage original copper. and these were sourced from numerous suppliers from around the world.

.

Once installed and complete the cool beautiful original design was tropically enhanced and swimming with a backdrop of flora from the America;s and Africa must be a little piece of paradise in Cheshire.
